Queen Esther Fenton is a native of Atlanta, Georgia. She is the sixth of seven children born to the late Deacon John L. and Deaconess Hattie L. Lewis. She was raised and reared at The Greater Piney Grove Baptist Church, Atlanta, Georgia, under the pastorship of the late Reverend Frank Jones. She served as an usher and sang in the Viole Wiley Choir until she relocated to Washington, D.C., in 1973.
Upon graduating from West Fulton High School, she enrolled at Truett McConnell Junior College (Cleveland, Georgia). There, she continued her studies until she moved to the Washington, D.C., area after receiving an offer of employment from the U.S. federal government.
Queen continued her education at Strayer University (Arlington, Virginia), receiving her Bachelor of Science degree in Computer Information Systems with a minor in Human Resources in 1992. She began her graduate studies with the Capital Bible Seminary (Lanham, Maryland) and is currently a student at Apostolic Movement International, San Diego, CA.
Ms. Fenton joined the Mount Pleasant Baptist Church in March of 1975 and has served in many capacities. She worked with the Youth, Missionary, and Homeless Ministries and was a member of several choirs. She served on the Usher Ministry, as President of the Calendar Club, member of the Youth Advisory Board, the Pastoral (and Church) Anniversary Committees, as Coordinator of Big Brother/Big Sister, a member of the Evangelistic Ministry, Prison Ministry, and Mission Task Team for Katrina in New Orleans. She was the first female preacher licensed at MPBC, and the Ministerial Staff. In 2001, she was licensed as a Grief ♥ Recovery® Specialist by the Grief Recovery Institute (Los Angeles, California). She served as the Director of the Caring Ministry at Mount Pleasant Baptist Church for twelve years. Queen Fenton traveled to foreign countries, Uganda, Africa, in 2006 and Jerusalem, Holy Land, in 2007.
Apostle Fenton has a passion for God. In 1998, she acknowledged God's call on her life to preach the good news of the Gospel of Jesus Christ. She responded with a commitment to serve the Lord, and on March 13, 2005, she was licensed to preach the Word of God. In November 2017, she was ordained as an Apostle to further the divine mandate of God. Apostle Fenton has a heart to serve the Lord and a passionate desire to do His will. She believes in the power of prayer and the Word of God. She is particularly inspired by God's promise of restoration in Jeremiah 29:11-14, "I will restore your fortune."
Apostle Fenton was an Associate Minister at Trinity Life Church, Gainesville, Virginia, with Rev. Dr. Sidney Jones from January 2012 until December 2014. She served as the Pastor’s Assistant. With her compassion for God’s people, she is a volunteer Chaplain at Capitol Caring (Hospice Care), Manassas, Virginia, and a volunteer worker with Prince William County Fire & Rescue Department. Apostle Fenton has the determination to enhance her learning. She completed four units of Clinical Pastoral Education (CPE) from ACPE, Goodwin House Bailey’s Crossroad, Virginia, on April 11, 2017.
Apostle Fenton is part of Kingslight Chapel International Ministries, Woodbridge, Virginia, with Apostle/Pastor Daniel & Pastor Barbara Armah. Furthermore, with the direction of the Holy Spirit, the Lord has called her out to Shepherd His people. Apostle Queen Esther Fenton graduated from Apostolic Movement International School (AMI) in San Diego, CA. October 30, 2021, with a Bachelor's Degree and the mantle to carry the office of a Prophet. She is now the founder and pastor of Morning Star International Ministries.
